Habitation Service
An annual Motorhome habitation service is a must for a number of reasons, including safety, performance and resale value. On new motorhomes, you’ll need to have a service done to keep the warranty valid. Regular habitation checks will help your motorhome or caravan retain its resale value. Most importantly, the check inspects the habitable areas for safety. Depending on level of service requested we can provided a Gas Safe certificate electrical test certificate and a damp report.
If it’s not detected and remedied in time, water ingress can become a very expensive repair. All motorhomes, regardless of model or age, can be susceptible to damp. For this reason, we recommend your Habitaion service is carried out annually on the 'living area' of your vehicle (in line with most manufacturer’s guidance). We use the NCC (National caravan council) habitation check sheet which incorporates checking of the gas system, water systems, electrical systems and many other functions. We can also as part of your habitation check carry out a full damp check with this option we will present accurate moisture readings to you on an NCC approved damp check report. This can prove very useful as water ingress, if caught quickly, can often be more easily repaired saving you time and money.
